The Leduc Community Hospital Foundation says THANK YOU to Canlin Energy Corporation
Dennie Harden, Canlin Energy Representative presents a donation in the amount of $5,500 to Bonnie Thurston, & Colleen Zimmerman, E.D. of the Leduc Community Hospital Foundation, in support of the purchase of PPE Isolation Carts for the Emergency Department and Medical Units.
“With the high number of patients affected by seasonal flu, and prevalence of antibiotic resistant organisms on the rise, the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in the hospital setting is a critical factor in safe patient care. PPE is a key element in preventing the transmission of disease. A mobile cart allows for fast and easy access to the required PPE at the point of care,” notes Bonnie Thurston (Infection Protection & Control, Leduc Community Hospital.
“Canlin Energy believes that we have a responsibility to support the communities in which we live and work. By investing our resources, sharing our skills, knowledge and volunteering our time, we believe we can create valuable connections and develop lasting corporate-community partnerships. Community investment means more than just financial assistance. Canlin Energy aims to engage communities through corporate donations, strategic sponsorship, local fundraisers, in-kind contributions and employee volunteering,” (Canlin Energy/Calgary)
The Foundation is grateful to Canlin Energy Corporation for their support of health care in Leduc.
"Health care is a concern that touches all of us – every day someone we know is affected by health-related issues."
Because of this, the Leduc Community Hospital Foundation recognizes the importance of our health-care services and the valuable contributions they make to the quality of life in our community.
The Leduc Community Hospital Foundation (LCHF) (established in 1993 as a registered charity) forms an important link between the community and the health-care services provided at the Leduc Community Hospital and the public Health Centres of Beaumont, Leduc and Thorsby.
Citizens of the Leduc Community Hospital Foundation region have the highest quality of health-care service.
The Leduc Community Hospital Foundation builds relationships with community partners to enhance services provided at our local health-care facilities.
The LCHF works toward fulfilling its vision and mission by promoting programs and services, as well as providing for special initiatives such as new technology, specialized equipment and innovative projects that enhance the health-care services available to our community. The raising and distribution of funds play a major role in the operations of the Foundation.
By offering various levels of participation the Foundation receives a broad spectrum of community support, varying from individuals, especially former patients, as well as members of the business community and community support groups. Support is received via donations of funds, “gifts of time” (volunteers), and in-kind contributions of goods or services, along with several sponsorship supported fund-raising initiatives.
The Leduc Community Hospital Foundation welcomes and encourages you to get involved by participating in LCHF initiatives.
