Everyone is welcome at Foundation special events! We host various fund raising events and your participation in these events is a great way to enjoy yourself as well as contribute to a great cause. These events offer various levels of involvement, from organizing, sponsorship, participation and/or attendance to hosting. All event proceeds support programs for the benefit of Leduc Community Hospital and Health Centres of Beaumont, Leduc and Thorsby.
Annual Leduc Dragonboat Festival
Edmonton Dragon Boat Club, in support of the Black Gold Health Foundation, hosts this annual event held in July at Leduc’s Telford Lake. You can participate in this ancient oriental sport and help to promote health & wellness in your community.
Encourage employees, friends & families to enter a team of paddlers - No experience needed.
Every year the Black Gold Health Foundation organizes the Charity Golf Classic. The Texas Scramble event requires that you pre-register. We encourage businesses to supply various prizes and become event sponsors. This is a great event and a fun time is had by all: participants, sponsors and volunteers alike!
Art & Entertainment Charity Affair
Held in the spring at the Maclab Centre for the Performing Arts in Leduc. It is an elegant evening of fine art and entertainment complimented by a showcase of fine food and beverages. Sponsors are welcome to contribute financially and are encouraged to participate by showcasing their products and services. “Put on your Sunday best & let us do the rest”. Attend this event, in the name of charity.
Third Party Fund Raising
Can’t participate in any of the above choices? Tailor make your own event! The options are endless and so is the fun! Host a swim-a-thon, get a noon-hour walking group together, family reunion golf tournament or a donation of a Tooney let’s you wear blue Jeans to work on Friday. These are just some of the things other groups have done. Match what your employees earn or challenge a neighbouring business. Offer a morale booster, encourage involvement and have fun, all to the benefit of charity. Proceeds are forwarded to BGHF. We offer assistance in planinning your event.
